KYLEE PATTON

I was very reluctant to try yoga. As a previous basketball player and track and field thrower I was not convinced that yoga would give me a good workout. I went to my first class with a friend in the fall of 2014 at Amazing Yoga's old Southside studio and was completely blown away. I struggled through the entire class in the back corner of the room trying to wrap my mind around how these people surrounding me could move so gracefully in the heat. As I laid in Savasna, I knew that I needed to come back for more.

Over the next couple of years, I would pop into the studio for classes on an inconsistent basis and always had in the back of my mind how I needed to come more often. Flash forward to the beginning of 2018 - It was a crazy and challenging time in my personal life and I felt myself craving the heat of the room and the power of the practice more than ever. As I slowly committed to my yoga practice, the changes in my mind and body were incredible. I felt stronger than I ever had (without lifting weights for the first time in my life) and found a new sense of peace and balance within myself I didn't know existed. I think yoga gives something different to each student,- for me it was bringing a sense of balance into my life. I completed level 1 teacher training in October 2022, and will be completing level 2 in April 2023.

I live in Dormont with my fiance, Jake & my dog, Bella. Of the mat, you can find me spending time with family & friends and traveling.
